IN MOTION DANCE STUDIO IS STRICTLY FOLLOWING THE CDC AND THE STATE OF NJ GUIDELINES AND PROTOCOL FOR COVID-19 SAFETY.
WAIVERS: All students are required to register for all classes on-line and parents must complete a waiver committing to follow all COVID-19 protocols and procedures. No student is allowed in the studio before having the COVID-19 guidelines waiver signed. Parents are reminded repeatedly to keep students home if they have been exposed to COVID-19 or are considered a contact. We have a contact tracing system in place. We are aware at all times of every student that enters the building and attends class.
ONLY STUDENTS AND TEACHERS ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING: Parents/siblings/friends are not allowed in the building (exception is for pre-school classes where one parent will stay in the hallway and help with the pre-schoolers). Parents drop off students at the entrance door. There will be one teacher per classroom and one staff member in the studio at any given time.
CHECK-IN PROCEDURES: Students will come into the hallway keeping 6 feet apart from other students. They will have their temperature checked. Any student with a temperature of 100.3 or higher will be asked to leave immediately. Students will use hand sanitizer—the studio will provide sanitizer but students are free to use their own. Students will go to a designated spot in the hallway which is 6 feet apart from all other students. They will leave all belongings in their space (street shoes, water bottles, phones etc.) Students will walk to designated studio.
PICK-UP: Students will exit the building and parents will pick-up outside. Children's classes will be walked outside by the teacher to meet parents.
SOCIALLY DISTANCED DANCING SPACES: Students will be at least 6 feet apart at all times. There will be 4 to 5 students in a classroom at any given time, plus one teacher. There are 4 large squares in one studio and 5 in another studio. Each square is spaced 6 feet apart on all sides from the other squares. The squares are large enough to enjoy a full dance class. The teacher has a designated space which is 6 feet from any student.
MASKS: Everyone who enters the studio must wear a mask at all times. Masks will be worn at all times during the dance class. WE WILL BE TAKING MASK BREAKS
WINDOWS/HVAC: Each dance studio has large windows. Windows will be open at all times. The HVAC (air/vent system) will be running at all times. The heat and air are produced by 2 rooftop HVAC units specific to the dance studio. There will be increased ventilation in all areas by opening the windows and running the air/fan system.
SANITATION: All studios will be sanitized before and after each class with a disinfecting solution. Ballet barres, counter, and floors will be sanitized before and after each class. Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the studio for students and teachers. All teachers will sanitize phones, keys, laptops or any belongings before bringing them into the studio.
DRESSING ROOM AND RECEPTION AREA IS CLOSED TO ALL STUDENTS/PARENTS: No one will be allowed in the dressing room or the reception area except the owner of the studio.
